Hubbard One Clients Take Home
a Dozen Prizes at US WebAwards

Hubbard One clients received nearly one third of all the awards given out in the legal category of the recent WebAwards, the annual competition staged by the Web Marketing Association in the US.

Organisations who used Hubbard One to improve their web marketing efforts received a total of 12 awards. Eleven were given to law firms whose websites achieved a standard of excellence in the legal category and one award was for the single best website in the consulting category, for engineering and scientific consulting firm Exponent.

Jason Parkman, Vice President and General Manager of Hubbard One, says the firm and its clients had an outstanding year at the 2008 WebAwards, doubling Hubbard One’s previous best awards haul of 2006.

“We are very excited to have Hubbard One clients recognised with one third of the awards in this year’s competition for the Best of Legal industry category. Our recognition in the competition reflects the outstanding work and innovation we strive to bring to each and every one of our clients.”

Parkman says Hubbard One’s performance was outstanding not just in comparison to its typical competition, but when compared to the entire web development and creative industry.

“Hundreds of agencies submitted more than 2400 sites in 96 categories, of which 55 agencies won five or more awards. Only a dozen agencies won 10 awards or more and they included organisations working for some of the world’s premier brands, such as interactive design agency VML, who has such global brands as Burger King, Microsoft and Adidas on its books.”

Each website was judged on seven criteria: design, interactivity, technology, content, innovation, copywriting and ease of use for target audience.

The Standard of Excellence Award recognises the websites that excel within each of the seven criteria and set the standard for which all websites in the industry should strive. The Best Website of Industry is awarded to the websites that receive the highest score in a given category.

Now in its 12th year, the WebAwards is the premier annual website award competition that recognises the people and organisations behind the creation of today’s most effective and compelling websites across 96 different industries.

The 12 award winners were:

  • Exponent – Best Consulting Website
  • The Bluebook Online – Legal Standard of Excellence
  • Lowenstein Sandler – Legal Standard of Excellence
  • O’Melveny & Myers – Legal Standard of Excellence
  • Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP – Legal Standard of Excellence
  • Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton – Legal Standard of Excellence
  • Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP – Legal Standard of Excellence
  • Howrey LLP – Legal Standard of Excellence
  • Foley & Lardner LLP – Legal Standard of Excellence
  • Bryan Cave LLP – Legal Standard of Excellence
  • McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC – Legal Standard of Excellence
  • Snell & Wilmer LLP – Legal Standard of Excellence
